How Does an IPL Photofacial Work?
An IPL photofacial, also known as photorejuvenation, is a safe and highly effective skin rejuvenation procedure that utilizes intense pulsed light to reverse the signs of aging. It involves directing pulses of light over the skin to reach its deeper layers. That stimulates collagen production, which rejuvenates, tightens, lifts, and smooths, leaving your skin looking and feeling better than ever!
IPL photofacials address most common skin concerns. While primarily used to treat the facial area, this innovative procedure can correct skin imperfections on most areas of the body, including the neck, shoulders, and chest. IPL photofacials utilize multiple light wavelengths rather than a single wavelength as with lasers. By adjusting the wavelengths of light emitted, we can calibrate your photofacial to address specific skin concerns. The gentle treatment does not involve deep resurfacing, meaning that you won't need any downtime. IPL photofacials repair existing skin damage and prevent future signs of aging for a long-term healthy and radiant complexion!

What Are Spider Veins?
Spider veins, medically known as telangiectasias, are small purple or red veins that appear on the face or legs. They may look like thin lines or resemble webs or branches. When spider veins appear on the face, it's usually due to tiny vessels bursting from increased pressure, the natural aging process, o sun damage. When they develop on the legs, it's typically due to weak or damaged valves in the veins. Spider webs are not painful or harmful. However, they often pose a cosmetic concern.
How Does IPL Spider Vein Removal Work?
IPL therapy is one of the most effective spider vein removal options. During treatment, our IPL device delivers light energy in a series of short and long pulses to the targeted veins. That generates heat, damaging the walls of the veins without harming any surrounding tissue. Your body will naturally absorb the damaged veins, leaving you with clear, healthy-looking skin. IPL therapy is fast, convenient, and comfortable, with quick recovery and dramatic treatment outcomes.
IPL Photo Rejuvenation
This treatment reduces pores, spider veins, blood vessels, reduces redness, and can remove birthmarks 3-5 treatment sessions recommended. Intervals of 6 weeks between treatments.
Here's what you can expect from IPL Photo Rejuvenation:
- During photo rejuvenation, we provide you with protective eye wear.
- Cooling gel is applied to the skin to help minimize any discomfort during your procedure.
- With the push of a button, the IPL device releases pulses of broad-spectrum light, and the light energy is absorbed by pigmented cells. The cells convert the energy to heat to break down pigmentation. Simultaneously, the heat triggers collagen production to restore and rejuvenate the skin. This process results in healthier, radiant, more youthful-looking skin.
- Most patients tolerate IPL treatments well. It is a gentle, low-risk procedure.
- The cooling gel we apply to the treated areas helps you remain comfortable throughout your procedure. However, patients may experience a mild stinging sensation that feels like a rubber band snapping. The procedure itself typically takes about 30 minutes.

ND: YAG Laser
Carbon Laser Peel
The laser carbon peel is a multi-part process that takes around 30 minutes from start to finish. For this reason. it is sometimes referred to as a lunchtime peel.
Here's what you can expect from a typical carbon laser peel:
- Your technician will spread a layer of liquid carbon onto your face. The carbon absorbs oil, dirt, and dead skin cells from deep within the pores.
- You·ll wait for about 10 minutes for the liquid carbon to dry.
- After the carbon has dried, your technician will give you eye shields to protect your eyes from the laser.
- Your technician will pass a laser, such as the Nd:YAG, over the skin on a low-energy setting. This heats up the carbon, binding it to the epidermis.
- If you have very sensitive skin or dark patches like melasma, your doctor may recommend skipping the heating step. The laser also heats up subdermal tissue, boosting collagen and plumping up fine lines.
- On a higher-energy setting, the laser will be used to fragment the liquid carbon into tiny particles.
- A smoke evaporator attached to the laser will remove the carbon as well as the debris and impurities it contains.
- Your technician may also apply a hydrating moisturizer and sunscreen to your skin after treatment.
You should immediately see brighter, glowing skin and tighter pores.
If you have sensitive skin, you may experience a slight pinking or reddening of the skin. This usually lasts for one hour or less.
Here are some do's and don'ts for laser carbon peel aftercare:
- Treat your skin gently after getting a laser carbon peel by continuing to moisturize daily.
- It's normal to see some flaking or experience dryness for a few days,
- Use sunscreen regularly with at least SPF 30+ for several days after treatment.
- Don't use any products containing retinol for at least five days after treatment.
- Do not exfoliate or use any abrasive or invasive skin treatments for at least one week.
- If you have oily skin, use products designed to combat acne to maintain optimum results.
- Use products containing collagen, collagen supplements, or follow a collagen-boosting diet if you have photo-aged skin or fine lines.
What are the side effects of a laser carbon peel?
Apart from a slight reddening of the skin and a tingling sensation, there should be no side effects after a laser carbon peel.
